Hi Can somebody explain how do I set up AdSense on Wordpress?

Thanks

There are two ways of going about it: doing it manually (for which you have to be technically sound), and by using a plug-in. But before you spit on your hands and plunge into it, I do hope you will do an honest review of your blog in terms of whether it can actually give you the monetary return you are aiming for. If you do think your blog can make it, you need to submit it to the Google AdSense program. This basically involves answering a few rather searching questions about the utility and future of your blog.

Assuming that the submission is approved, log on to www.adsense.google.com using your Google account. Once inside, you need to do a bit of searching about to locate the code that has to do with AdSense. This will be in JavaScript, and needs to be copied to your blog. Once you have this code, log on to your Wordpress blog and navigate to the page code where you want the AdSense program to appear. Once there, paste the code in the relevant .php file. That’s it – you can now start making money!

But there is a simpler way as well. If you are not confident of your ability to play with HTML code, you can opt for one of the AdSense plugins for Wordpress. Two popular examples are AdSense Deluxe and AdSense Injection. While these plugins provide a lot of options to tweak the AdSense program, it is advisable to read up Google guidelines and stick to them.

Well, that is it more or less. Once you get past the basic hurdles, it should be smooth sailing all along.

All the best
