Debate over the significance of Unified communications (UC) as a technology was rife late 2009 with competing research firms Gartner and Frost & Sullivan arguing that its is respectively, no longer a strategic priority and its an evolving technology still worth watching.

depends what you mean by UC - is there even a consensus on what that stands for?

In any case we are finally rolling out lotus notes access on our smartphones so that is a start. It is still slower than accessing gmail by the browser but at least it is safer
