Overview
On December 11, 2009 Avocent Corporation became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emerson Electric Co. and is no longer a publicly traded company. Avocent develop successful data center and desktop innovation, a portfolio of software, hardware, and embedded technologies to help their clients control, plan, evolve, and secure their technology infrastructure.
Avocent has more than 1,800 employees. Sales, operations and R&D centers are located globally, with corporate headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama.
