Microsoft has sold 90 million copies of Windows 7 to date, making it the fastest-selling operating system in history, according to Peter Klein, Microsoft's chief financial officer. Klein made the comments earlier this week while speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference. 2009 will see a total of 1.2 billion mobile devices shipped, including all categories of wireless devices such as mobile phones, MIDs (Mobile Internet Devices), netbooks, mobile consumer electronics products, and cellular modems.Shipments of these devices will have nearly doubled in 2014 to a total of 2.25 billion, according to the latest data from ABI Research. "The next five years will see a shift in the breakdown between types of mobile devices shipped," comments industry analyst Michael Morgan.
