Australian-owned IT services and infrastructure provider Volante Group has appointed Ian Penman chief executive officer.
Penman has more than 30 years industry experience as former head of IBM Australia's PC division, and also regional director at Compaq.
During his 15 years at Compaq, Penman grew the regional business from one employee to more than 2500, and spearheaded the acquisitions of Tandem and Digital, Volante chairman Robin Crawford said.
Volante acquired IT manufacturer Ipex in February, increasing its annual revenue by 55 percent.
Penman replaces former CEO Allan Brackin, who will retire from Volante's board on October 31.
