BigFatRadio killed the radio star

The personalities, legends in the youth and sports bandwidths, have been broadcasting on BigFatRadio.com (BFR) since June 19 and will remain as cornerstones of the site's ongoing broadcasting effort. They include Ian Rogerson, Debbie Spillane, Michael Tunn and Helen Razer.

The celebrities are key elements in the site's efforts to develop personality-based, genre-specific channels. Their appearance is part of BFR's strategy to "produce stations that will be targeted at youth, women, sport, grooves and kids", according to BFR's real media youth and music channel manager Nic Allum.

"Our site portfolio is amazing in that it's delivering all genres of music, as well as fashion, film, events and extreme sports, and the sites are providing a wealth of integrated on and offline opportunities," she said.

Real Media Australia's portfolio includes a range of youth, music and entertainment sites including Channel [V], 9inety6ix.1, Lifelounge, DigitalOne, Hoyts and MP3.com.au.

"These are the youth sites to be working with (because) not only are they category leaders across the board, but they're the fastest moving in terms of downloads, WAP extensions and email marketing -- the key areas of the online marketing industry right now," according to Allum.
