Planet 2000: i2 Unveils Updated Marketplace Platform

At its Planet 2000 conference in San Diego, i2 Technologies announced the availability of TradeMatrix 5.0 and its Customer Order Management.

The company also announced FulfillmentMatrix, a marketplace for physical fulfillment providers, and the TradeMatrix Buy Solution.

TradeMatrix 5.0 is the most recent version of the company's marketplace platform and solutions suite.

Version 5.0 offers marketplace managers the following new capabilities:

-- An integrated order management system that lets all transaction participants see the status and history of the transaction-- Aggregated buying capabilities-- Deeper site management capabilities-- Distributed management features-- More flexible and extensible tools for permissions-- Marketplace revenue management capabilitiesIn addition, TradeMatrix 5.0 offers new functions for marketplace participants, including a buyer portal, strategic supplier management and sourcing, and optimization of custom part development and sourcing processes.

The company's Customer Order Management product, also available Monday, is designed to combine interactive selling and customer management solutions with order promising, order management, and fulfillment capabilities.

In its FulfillmentMatrix announcement, i2 said that the new marketplace includes commerce applications, planning solutions, collaboration services, and execution tools.

AMB Property and Sameday.com are helping to launch FulfillmentMatrix as the first joint solution partners.i2 also announced its TradeMatrix Buy Solution, designed to address the entire procurement cycle, including supply-chain planning, strategic souring, and supply collaboration.
