Novell is expected to announce as soon as next month eDirectory support for HP-UX customers.
The company’s eDirectory product presently runs on NetWare, Windows, Solaris, Linux and AIX. In 2002, Novell claimed that over 300 million copies of its meta-directory software had been sold.
Hewlett-Packard’s HP-UX operating system is used on its RISC-based servers. The operating system had a 25 percent market share in the Unix market in 2002, according to IDC.
Novell is inviting customers to beta test eDirectory on HP-UX.
