NBN Co has published details of suburbs set to receive fibre-to-the-node services as part of the company's test deployment of FTTN technology.
Some 200,000 homes in NSW and Queensland will receive FTTN services.
NBN Co earlier this year announced a large-scale trial of FTTN technology in conjunction with Telstra.
The trial is based on the design and deployment of 1000 nodes and is reportedly worth $150 million for Telstra.
When the trial was announced in June, Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the FTTN deployment would focus on areas categorised as "underserved" in the government’s MyBroadband broadband quality study.
NBN Co is scheduled to make FTTN services available to ISPs by Q3 2015.
According to a statement issued by the company this morning, construction has already began in Belmont, NSW, and build preparation works are underway in the other areas due to receive FTTN services.
