The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) on Cybersafety program for 2013 has been launched with the first online discussion forum taking place with primary school students in the Northern Territory, South Australia and West Australia tomorrow.

The YAG provides opportunities for primary and secondary students aged between eight and 17 to tell the federal government about the kinds of cyber safety issues they face.

Members discuss these issues in live, secure and moderated online discussion forums with other students, moderators and the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy.

More YAG online discussions will be held with primary students from Victoria and Queensland from 23 April to 3 May and Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania primary school students from May 28 to 7 June.

The fifth forum will be run from 12 to 21 June with high school students from NSW, the ACT, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.
