Storage vendor NetApp has found a replacement for the Australia and New Zealand managing director role from its internal ranks after former MD Peter O’Connor left in August 2012.

NetApp’s professional services and systems engineering director Michael DeLandre served as acting MD while the company searched for a replacement.

Subsequently, the vendor’s northern region sales manager Steve Manley was promoted to the role this week.

Manley, who has worked at NetApp since 2008, will be responsible for defining the strategy and direction of the company’s A/NZ business with senior management in both countries reporting to him.

According to Manley, the vendor has a “strong company culture” that ensures people are at the centre of the organisation.

“I’m looking forward to leading the team as we continue to work alongside our partners to drive business success for our customers with tailored solutions that meet their needs,” he said in a statement.
