Ecorp Ltd has promoted Alison Deans to the new position of chief executive officer effective from July 1.
Currently e-corp's chief operating officer, a position she has held since the role was created 10 months ago, Deans joined ecorp's board this week.
Before joining ecorp Deans was managing director of online marketplace, eBay Australia and New Zealand, where she presided over its Australian launch in October 1999.
Earlier, she spent seven years at McKinsey & Company, reaching senior engagement manager, specialising in telecommunications, growth and CRM.
Deans holds an MA (Physics) from Cambridge University and an MBA from Stanford Business School.
Daniel Petre, executive chairman of ecorp said Dean's promotion is a natural and well earned progression from her role as COO, and that in her new role, Deans will add even more value to ecorp.
