iPrimus releases NBN fixed wireless pricing

iPrimus has connected its first customer to the National Broadband Network’s (NBN) fixed wireless service in Warrenheip, Victoria.

The ISP is offering four plans for fixed wireless on the NBN, starting at 40GB and extending to 1TB.

The NBN’s fixed wireless network can achieve speeds of up to 12/1Mbps.

iPrimus customers will use M2’s all-in-one gateway modem, which includes a built-in wireless N, and will be used to help migrate customers from its copper DSL and fibre optic services to the NBN without the need to replace existing hardware.

“This is just another piece of the puzzle fitting into place as we continue to be a market leader on the NBN. We are extremely pleased to offer the new broadband services and home phone bundles to customers in these rural and sparsely populated areas,” Geoff Horth, CEO at M2, said in a statement.

iPrimus’ fixed wireless plans on the NBN include $49.95 per month for 40GB; $59.95 per month for 100GB; $69.95 per month for 300GB; and $99.95 per month for 1TB.

This compares to two iiNet plans for fixed wireless – $49.95 per month for 40GB and $59.95 per month for 200GB.

Activ8eme is also offering fixed wireless plans on the NBN starting at $39.95 per month for 20GB; $49.95 per month for 50GB; $59.95 per month for 100GB; $69.95 per month for 250GB; and $89.95 for 500GB.
