The University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) is on the lookout for a CIO to head up its IT department and implement new initiatives as part of a $1 billion upgrade to the university.
The successful candidate will head up UTS' 200 IT staff and develop and implement a new IT strategy that will cover infrastructure, architecture and services.
“In this newly created position, the successful candidate will lead change by providing innovative leadership and clear direction,” the Seek advertisement reads. “They will enhance IT capability, improve collaboration, support stakeholder objectives and develop a high performance team.”
The new CIO will promote collaboration and a team oriented culture, work with internal stakeholders and develop and maintain relationships with a broad range of external partners.
According to the university, communication skills are a must, as is extensive experience with information technology.
“They will have relevant IT leadership experience having led significant transformation and created a high performance culture. They will have had success in similar rapidly changing and demanding environments.”
