In Brief: AppSense hires new ANZ MD

Michael Bosnar steps into chair vacated by Sean Walsh

Former Sybase ANZ sales director, Michael Bosnar, has joined virtualization vendor, AppSense, as its new ANZ managing director. Based in Melbourne, he replaced outgoing MD, Sean Walsh.

In a statement, AppSense vice president, Tony Clarke, said that Bosnar was appointed due to his 20 years industry experience growing software companies in the ANZ region, and success managing geographically disperse sales teams.

According to Bosnar, the potential for user virtualization technology was set to grow as more companies decided to engage in desktop virtualization and the managing director role was one he was "well primed" for.

Bosnar is currently looking to fill a number of vacancies at AppSense including a senior sales person in Sydney, and a renewals and marketing co-ordinator role in Melbourne.
