The Victorian Cytology Service (VCS) has extended its contract with global IT services firm Logica, adding an additional three years and seven months.

Under the partnership, Logica provides continued support and work for the National Human Papilloma Virus Vaccination Program Register (NHVPR) on behalf of the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA).

The contract initially began three years ago when VCS was selected to build and run the register for the DoHA.

Under the extension, Logica will continue to provide application hosting and management services.

The register facilitates the capturing of consumer, provider and associated immunisation data for an ongoing DoHA project which provides immunisation against the Human Papilloma Virus for school aged females.
