Kinect used to shoot music video

Microsoft Xbox Kinect and custom programming used to film music video clip

Dan Nixon and Don Jones recently shot a video for the band Echo Lake, featuring its song Young Silence. The video itself is pretty cool, and seems to fit the song's almost dream-like sound well. But the most impressive part? It was filmed using a Microsoft Kinect.

Of all the Kinect hacks we've seen in recent months, this one is probably one of the most artistic. Dan and Don shot the entire video using a Microsoft Kinect and various custom Cinder-based apps. According to Dan's Vimeo page, it took seven weeks of work to finish the video.

Not bad for a hacked US$300 gaming accessory, eh?
