Credit Union Australia (CUA) said only four of its 78 branches in flood-ravaged Queensland remain closed, and customers requiring more than $500 in cash will need to visit a branch.
Australia's largest credit union imposed a daily limit of $500 on cash withdrawals from both its CUA-branded and RediATM automatic teller machines (ATMs) following the flood disaster and said this will remain in place until further notice. Customers needing more cash will need to visit a CUA branch.
Four branches are closed at Ipswich, Indooroopilly, and two Brisbane branches located at Eagle Street and Broadway on the Mall.
CUA's IT systems and online banking service are not operating and chief executive, Chris Whitehead, said CUA would update customers throughout Thursday on its progress toward restoring these services.
Customers can suspend home and personal loan repayments for up to three months and CUA will waive late fees.
Credit card repayments can be suspended for one month.
CUA offers home and contents insurance through Insurance Australia Group's CGU unit and the two are working on processing claims, spokeswoman Catherine Harris said.

As CUA have one branches in ACT, which won't dispense money, its a useless solution for us.
