In brief: Clarity nominated for state Export Awards

The unified telcommunications provider is one of six finalists in the ICT category

Unified telecommunications solutions provider, Clarity, has been nominated as one of six finalists in the ICT category of the Premier’s annual NSW Export Awards for 2010.

The awards are conducted by the Australian Institute of Export in conjunction with Industry and Investment NSW, recognise excellence in the export of goods and services by NSW business.

Clarity is a business unit within Powerlan (ASX:PWR) and provides solutions aimed at simplifying the operation and management of telecommunication networks.

In a statement to the ASX, Clarity chief executive, Jon Newbery, said the nomination was a “great honour” and marked the company's being recognised in the international marketplace.

The company's headquarters is based in Sydney and an additional six offices around the world to develop and respond to export sales.

The winners on the 2010 Export Awards will be announced on 28 October this year at a ceremony in Sydney, from which winners will progress as national finalists to the Australia Export Awards.
