Telcoinabox consolidates Australia, New Zealand support

New Sydney-based operations centre provides 10 new jobs, sparks company's plans for global expansion

In continued moves to consolidate its Australian and New Zealand operations telecommunications wholesaler Telcoinabox this week opened a new Sydney-based support centre.

The 60-seat Australian and New Zealand Operations Centre (ANZOC) will provide support for the company's mobile, broadband and telecommunications services in both countries, focussed around customer service, technical support and billing.

The new centre will see the company add an additional 12 staff to its head count. Two of those have already been assigned; former Mortgage Choice employee Debbie Ennis appointed head of franchising and business development, and Josephine Conder as dedicated data product manager.

Telcoinabox currently wholesales telecommunications services to 150 service providers across Australia and New Zealand, including over Telecom NZ's W-CDMA network and Telstra's DSL network.

“Our aim is to increase the number of service providers we support by 25 per cent with minimal increase in head-count,” Kay said in a statement.

The operations centre is part of the company's $2 million consolidation of systems across the two countries, which founder and group managing director, Damian Kay, expected to happen over a two-year period.

The company is also looking to expand globally, with a new European Operations Centres expected to be announced later this year.
