Clean Up Australia and Kyocera Mita have teamed up to conduct research on electronic waste within the IT sector. They are surveying organisations in an effort to understand current environmental trends within the IT sector.
"The environment is increasingly becoming a concern of the IT sector," the organisations state. "As an industry with products that are becoming more and more obsolete because of upgraded versions entering the market rapidly, it is necessary for us to take responsibility."
The questionnaire will produce valuable information on how Australian companies dispose of their electronic and technological waste.
The results will be published on September 18. Participants will receive a kit containing the results and a corporate guide to electronic waste management for business.
Surveys can be submitted online: go to www.cleanup.com.au or www.kyoceramita.com.au.
