In Brief: Myer stores all get CCTV and new POS system

Famous retailer rolling out security and point of sale systems

Myer (ASX:MYR) will complete the rollout of a CCTV system at all its stores by July 2010 and commence the deployment of a new point of sale (POS) system in June.

In a statement to the ASX, Myer said the new POS rollout is expected to be finished by the end of 2010.

The company will open a new store in Top Ryde (NSW) on 4 August and another in Robina (Queensland) in October. It is also building stores in Mackay and Townsville in Queensland and announced a new store to be built in Lakeside Joondalup in Perth.

The famous retailer reported flat sales growth for its third quarter to 24 April, hitting $671 million.
