NorthgateArinso to acquire Australia's Neller

Neller staff to be retained in global human resources software and services provider's push into Asia-Pacific

Global human resources software and services provider NorthgateArinso will acquire Australian software provider Neller in a move to expand their operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Neller managing director, David Paige said the company's 90 staff will be retained.

“We can confidently go into many Asian or multinational companies in the Asia Pacific region and offer them a regional service,” Paige told Computerworld, adding management will continue to be based in Australia.

Through the acquisition NorthgateArinso will add about 1100 customers to their books and be responsible for the payment of upwards of 700,000 employees worldwide.

“What’s key for us on a global level is to be able to cover markets like Australia with very good resources, local management and understanding of the local culture,” Darcy Lalonde, Regional executive for the Asia Pacific region of NorthgateArinso, said.

“What’s been so successful in Australia we want to take to New Zealand and then into the Asia pacific region.”

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
