RailCorp has extended its managed services contract with Fujitsu for an additional two years.
Fujitsu has provided desktop support, service desk, server management and data centre operations to the NSW state agency for the past three years.
Railcorp inked a two and half year deal with communications supplier Huawei Australia Earlier this month to replace its ageing analogue radio network with a digital solution used in China’s ultra-fast railway network.
In January, Fujitsu also threw its hat into the ring to bid on helping the NSW government consolidate 130 data centre facilities down to two.
In October, Railcorp announced Sydney’s new fleet of Waratah suburban trains, to be introduced this year, would feature no less than 7000 IP cameras, about 98 cameras per train.
