Voting in the Computerworld Top 10 Most Influential 2009 Readers Choice award will close at the end of next week.
So far we have had a number of surprise candidates appear at the top of the list including the Government 2.0 Taskforce. But many of the heavyweight influences from 2009 are starting to make their mark.
The Computerworld Top 10 Most Influential for 2009 highlights the people, products, organisations, trends or events that have had the greatest influence on the ICT industry and community.
Although we can't tell you who is in the lead now, we will announce the winners in February with a full write up in our February / March print edition.
You can still be an influence yourself – all you have to do is vote for what you think was huge in '09.
Earlier in December we counted down to the Computerworld Panel’s winner with one article each day from 10th place to number one throughout the month. Below is the final list:
(Vote now in the Readers' Choice award)
- #10 — CSIRO's wireless patent win
- #9 — Virtualisation
- #8 — Netbooks
- #7 — Gershon
- #6 — Google
- #5 — Twitter
- #4 — Financial Crisis
- #3 — Senator Stephen Conroy
- #2 — National Broadband network

See how we chose the winners next...
