Telstra offers Mobile Foxtel on the iPhone

Access via other handsets to be made available soon

iPhone users will be the first to gain access to a new video streaming service running over Telstra’s NextG network.

With the service, Telstra customers can stream more than 30 Mobile FOXTEL channels to any OS 3.1 and above iPhone with improved viewing quality and stereo sound.

Freddie Jansen Van Nieuwenhuizen, director, Telstra Product Management, said the iPhone was the logical first-choice platform as users of the device were already accustomed to consuming a vast array of media on their devices.

Channels available on Mobile FOXTEL include FOX 8, FOX Sports News TV, Fashion TV and MTV.

Telstra already offers video-on-demand services available via its BigPond TV and BigPond Sports applications.

Users of other mobile devices will gain access to the new Mobile Foxtel service as Telstra rolls out a range of new Telstra NextG handsets over coming months.

Access to Mobile FOXTEL starts at $4 for a day pack up to $18 per month for the Mobile FOXTEL Ultimate Combo.
