Listed Web development and content company Software Communication Group (Sofcom) has terminated agreements with a number of overseas developers in order to seal a distribution agreement with Australian financial services provider Online Trading Systems (OTS). In the wake of the deal Sofcom will provide the OTS data content to its customers and subscribers and will share the resultant revenue with OTS.
The deal is constructed around OTS's Internet Broadcasting Technology, which allows data to be distributed simultaneously to large numbers of recipients at low cost, a spokesman said.
OTS's content feed acts as a financial market aggregator, including live share prices, stock history and charting along with other market information.
"We believe that showcasing the OTS financial data within the Sofcom portal and including it as part of Sofcom's content offering for third party Web sites will provide greater flexibility and offer richer and deeper financial content for our online customers," research stations explained
