Apple's iPhone 3.0 Software Update is now available for download to all owners of iPhone and iPod touch.
Users can access the update via iTunes. Connect your iPhone or iPod touch, and select it in the Devices category. Click the summary tab and press the Check for Updates button.
You will see this message:
Click Update and you will see document outlining the new software and many of the new features. The download weighs in at 229.3MB.
The iPhone 3.0 Software Update is free for all owners of iPhone, iPhone 3G, and is pre-installed on the upcoming iPhone 3G S. iPod touch owners in Australia will be required to pay a $12.99 update fee. Legal requirements prevent Apple from issuing free upgrades to iPod touch owners.
