Telstra (ASX: TLS) has announced national sales executive director, Nerida Caesar, will replace wholesale group managing director, Kate McKenzie, as of March 30.
Caesar will oversee the wholesale team to provide products and services to the Australian domestic market as well as global wholesale markets.
The position became available after McKenzie was promoted to strategic group managing director, replacing Bill Stewart, who resigned from Telstra to return to his home and family in the US.
In a statement, outgoing Telstra CEO, Sol Trujillo expressed his satisfaction with Caesar’s achievements in the company and said her previous experience with customer relations would set her up well for the role in the wholesale team.
Caesar joined Telstra in 2006 as customer management executive director and was eventually given the position of national sales executive director, maintaining relationships with Telstra’s enterprise and government customers.
Prior to her appointment at Telstra, Caesar worked at IBM for 20 years. Her final position was vice-president of Asia-Pacific Intel server division.
