The Communications Electrical and Plumbing Union (CEPU) has advised Telstra customers that services could potentially be disrupted from the weekend onwards due to five days of rolling stoppages.
According to a statement released today by the CEPU, overtime bans will be observed by Telstra workers on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a series of rolling 24-hour stoppages over the coming week.
A joint rally of CEPU and Community and Public Sector Union members will be held in Sydney and Melbourne on Monday, February 9.
The industrial action arose over disputes between Telstra and the CEPU over wage agreements. Telstra has said union membership covers 15 per cent of its employee base.
