Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading independent provider of data integration software and services, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with NEC Corporation whereby NEC will offer Informatica’s PowerCenter as part of its NEC InfoFrame information management solution suite. Informatica has also been certified as an NEC alliances partner. Under the terms of the distribution agreement, PowerCenter will be marketed to NEC customers in Japan under the NEC brand and will be supported by an Informatica-dedicated NEC engineering team.

“Informatica is a leading enterprise data integration provider and its flagship product, PowerCenter, is recognised globally for its scalability and reliability,” said Mr. Motoyasu Akatsu, general manager, First Computer Software Department, NEC. “Our company offers our customers the best data management system for the information economy and with the vast capabilities of PowerCenter as an enabler for NEC InfoFrame, customers can now address a host of new information-driven business opportunities with a compelling value proposition.
