Orbis selects Telstra International as its data centre partner for the UK, Europe and Middle East Region
Orbis, a leading global marketing management software company, has selected Telstra International as its Data Centre partner for the EMEA region to support the delivery of its flagship software product, Orbis Marketing™.
 02 December, 2008 11:23

Orbis Marketing is a software tool used by international organisations to manage a range of marketing operational processes; the tool ensures greater efficiency and output, including the creation, approval and storage of large packaging and exotic rich media content for many world-leading brands.

By partnering with Telstra International, Orbis will recommend its global connectivity and data centre facilities to clients, to support the latest web-based capabilities of the tool.

"As our clients produce terabytes of data every year from their marketing activities, outsourced hosting is an important aspect of our offering for the EMEA region. It provides a zero IT footprint and reduces the strain on the client's internal storage and email networks. Many of our clients also want the Orbis Marketing solution implemented in 4-8 weeks, not 4 to 8 months. The outsourced hosting option enables a quick implementation at the same time as allowing the IT department to focus on its core responsibilities,” said Brett Halloran, Managing Director of EMEA, and Co-founder of Orbis.

"Over 80% of our blue chip clients elect to use hosting services in the APAC region and we expect similar trends in EMEA. Quality and performance are therefore critical in the hosting infrastructure and we can only commend Telstra International on their professionalism and state-of-the-art facilities,” he said.

Simon Vye, CEO of Telstra International EMEA, comments: “It’s essential for growing global organisations to have a secure and reliable infrastructure in place to support web-enabled applications such as Orbis Marketing. At Telstra International we are well positioned to deliver this, through our world class data and hosting centre facilities combined with global connectivity. We are delighted Orbis has recognised we are the perfect partner to support its client’s business growth, and we are looking forward to working with them.”
