Sydney, 8 July 2008 - Open Text™ (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM), has announced the appointment of Graham Pullen as Vice President Asia Pacific.
In this new role for the organisation, Pullen will be responsible for growing Open Text's sales and marketing presence in one of the company’s fastest expanding regions. He will be specifically responsible for the company’s operations in Australia, New Zealand, the ASEAN region and North Asia where the company either has a direct presence or sells through channel partners.
Pullen joins Open Text with more than 25 years of experience in regional software sales and was most recently Vice President and General Manager Asia Pacific for Vignette.
During his three years with the organisation, Pullen established a scalable Asia Pacific business operation across account management, channels and marketing and also built a global business model for the organisation’s imaging and workflow group.
He was previously Managing Director Australia and New Zealand at Documentum for three years and has also held national and regional sales director positions with BEA, PeopleSoft, Silicon Graphics and Control Data Corporation.
"Graham brings to Open Text more than 20 years of Asia Pacific software sales experience, a strong network of ECM contacts in some of the region's largest companies, and a proven understanding of how enterprises and government agencies are solving today’s real information management problems. We look forward to the positive impact that he will have on helping the company build on its momentum to further Open Text’s reputation as the leading provider of ECM solutions,” said John Wilkerson, Executive Vice President, Global Sales, Services, and Support for Open Text.
Open Text has recently boosted its Australian management team with the appointment of new channel sales, marketing and technical executives and became the first supplier to achieve full compliance with the demanding VERS (Victorian Electronic Records Strategy) records management standard.
”This is a very exciting and compelling time to be given the opportunity to represent Open Text in the region. The company is growing stronger and faster than any other ECM solution provider and the Asia Pacific market is expanding quickly. The timing is perfect and I’m looking forward to growing our footprint,” said Graham Pullen, Vice President Asia Pacific, Open Text.
