NetPro upgrades management tools
At TechEd, the company announced upgrades to AccessManager, ChangeAuditor, and LogADmin

NetPro Tuesday upgraded a trio of its tools focusing on new features for Windows access management, auditing, logging and compliance, and support for non-Windows platforms.

The network management company made the announcement at Microsoft TechEd conference in Orlando.

The company said at the end of June it would release AccessManager 3.0. The software includes access controls for Exchange and SQL server permissions, reports on access settings across an entire network including built-in reports for Exchange and SQL servers, a business rules engine covering all Active Directory objects and attributes, and approval process enforcement that helps track and manage changes.

In addition, the company released ChangeAuditor 4.6, which features real-time change auditing and compliance management. The software's Exchange module has been expanded to cover mailbox activity including access, deletions, moves and copies by both the user and others such as assistants or administrators. The features are intended to help companies with overall compliance. The software also includes 100 new reports for Exchange and SQL servers.

The third upgrade revolves around LogADmin 3.0 and includes support for event log management on Unix, Linux and NAS/SAN devices in addition to Windows. The software will be available later this month. Users will be able to search log data down to the field level without having to export information to SQL Server.
