Australia’s RuleBurst Re-brands as Haley Limited
 08 May, 2008 08:32

Company Establishes North American Headquarters in Washington D.C.

Sydney – May 8, 2008 – RuleBurst, headquartered in Sydney and the world’s fastest growing business rules license vendor since 2005, has announced that effective immediately, it will conduct business worldwide under the Haley brand.

The re-branding results from Ruleburst’s acquisition of US business rules vendor, Haley, in November 2007, which merged the two global leaders of natural language business rules management software. At the same time, the company has announced new North American headquarters in Washington DC while retaining a presence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Haley originated.

Haley delivers a comprehensive suite of software that enables public and private sector organisations to manage complex determinations and business rules, control risk and compliance and combat fraud.

Clients in Australia include Department of Defence, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Queensland Department of Housing, Centrelink, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Haley’s CEO, Dominic O’Hanlon, said, “Since the RuleBurst acquisition of Haley, we have made great strides in successfully creating an integrated business. With our natural language rule authoring capabilities and business rules solutions, we are uniquely positioned to make our customers more competitive and agile in a fast-paced, highly-regulated world.

“For the government market, Haley is a worldwide leader in using natural language technology to rapidly transform regulations, policies and rules into automated decision-making systems, to determine eligibility for government services. Haley also continues to grow in the financial services and insurance market, with rules driven solutions for product eligibility, underwriting and claims determination; plus complementary technologies for fraud detection and governance, risk and compliance management.”

While the company’s headquarters will remain in Australia, Haley is already conducting extensive hiring in the US to meet the demand for support and implementation services. The new US headquarters in Washington will also help to strengthen Haley’s relationships with the company’s major strategic partners, including Oracle, SAP, Lagan, IBM, and Microsoft.
