Ebbeck no longer in acting role

Former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for TMP Worldwide in the Asia Pacific region, Tim Ebbeck, has formally been appointed CEO for SAP A/NZ.

Ebbeck has been acting in the role since January 2008.

He first joined SAP in 2003 as CFO and was part of the A/NZ leadership team through to 2006.

In 2007, he was appointed to the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer for Asia Pacific Japan.

Announcing the appointment, SAP CEO for Asia Pacific Japan, Geraldine McBride, said Ebbeck's chief responsibility will be working closely with customers and SAP partners in the commercial and government sector.

"He has strong leadership ability and a proven track record of successful results in the areas of the business that he has led over the years," McBride said.

"We have set ambitious growth plans to double the size of our business in ANZ by 2010 and he will play a key role in driving us forward towards this goal."

Ebbeck has 30 years of business experience and has worked at Compaq Computer and Investment Vehicle, Unisys South Pacific Division, Tandem Computers and GEC Alsthom Australia Limited.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Fellowship from CPA Australia, a Fellowship from the Australian Institute of Management and a MAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
