Infrastructure based service provider, Telarus, today launched a range of mobile data, voice and message offerings for corporate customers.
Under the Telarus data service, the company is offering customers data access using GPRS protocol with configuration support for a range of popular mobile handsets available on the market. The voice services offering provides customers with voice services Australia-wide and customers can also request access to IDD (International Direct Dial) and International Roaming with call wait, call hold and call conference all supported on the network (handset dependent). Messaging options include voicemail, SMS and MMS messaging as well as a "CallScreen" option, which allows a live operator to take a message for the user using a set greeting. The message is then sent via SMS to the user's Telarus Mobile handset. There are three product offerings under the Telarus Mobile banner and the business plan has options for hardware rebates. Customers have the option of placing several services on one plan and using the combined rebate to purchase more handsets. Under the Corporate Mobile offering, customers are offered a hardware rebate with all usage included in the minimum spend and "intra-account" calls are also heavily discounted. Corporate customers can choose a plan with a hardware rebate and have the option to not use the rebate to purchase new handsets. Instead, the remaining credit can be offset against their spend each month, a plus for corporate customers that have existing hardware or that simply want to keep their options open for upgrading in future.
The company's managing director, Jules Rumsey, said there has been a lot of demand from customers for Telarus to roll out a mobile offering to complement its existing voice, data and hosting products. "Over the next 12 months, we expect to see mobile services becoming a significant part of our overall revenues and we will be releasing additional mobile services over the coming months," Rumsey said. Telarus Mobile forms part of a complete wireless mobility solution when packaged with WiFi infrastructure and VoIP phone systems, enabling seamless access in or out of the office. Telarus has its own national carrier grade next generation telecommunications network and is a proud supporter of the Tell the Truth Telstra campaign (www.tellthetruthtelstra.com.au).
