Aussies worth watching: Auto IT, Happen Business, Hinterlands, 1Form.Com.Au, Superior Service, and 3IVX Technologies

AUTO-IT has been developing software for the automotive, materials handling, agricultural and construction markets since 1976 and its applications are in use in more than 350 dealers and 550 dealer locations worldwide. The company has operations in all states plus offices in New Zealand and Malaysia.

HAPPEN BUSINESS provides accounting workflow software to the mid-market. Its customer base covers diverse industries, such as importing, distribution, sales, service, specialised retailing, and manufacturing. Happen Business' Jim2 Business Engine provides the traditional accounts information and helps customers manage every aspect of a business' workflow from stock control to invoicing and accounts.

HINTERLANDS provides services in business applications and Web solutions. Recent projects include a collection of flash advertisements for Opera Australia, a redesign of H&R Block's national Web site, and the creation of a Web site for Samsung Mobile for its Developing Designer Program. Hinterlands has also created the NSW Office of Industrial Relations' Youth at Work site, which is being adopted in other states.

1FORM.COM.AU is a free online service that streamlines the application process for tenancy applications. Tenants who use 1FORM have their details stored with their own password-protected profile so they can submit other applications without having to fill out their details again. Currently there are more 7500 renters signed up and some 1500 real estate agents using the system.

SUPERIOR SERVICE provides online corporate communications training and its World Manager allows company content and messages to be created, sent worldwide, and tracked by head office. Recently Gloria Jeans Coffee partnered with Superior Service to launch World Manager in 21 countries.

3IVX TECHNOLOGIES specialises in MPEG-4 and has developed software that allows content creators to deliver audio and video at all levels of the video spectrum from HDTV down to video for mobile phones and embedded devices. The company's developers work with an international network of software and hardware designers and developers to distribute 3iVX products to Europe, North America, and Australasia.
