Interwoven fills local managing director role

Stephen Walker leaves Objective

Content management vendor Interwoven has appointed a new Australia and New Zealand managing director based in Sydney.

Stephen Walker, who has 20 years industry experience, will take on the MD position.

Walker was most recently Objective Corporation Asia general manager for sales where he established offices in Brisbane, Perth and Wellington, and won government contracts in New South Wales and Western Australia over a six year stint.

Other roles included business development at workflow vendor Staffware, and business development and sales management positions in workforce management, retail, legal publishing and residential construction sectors, with organisations including Kronos, Smart Retail Terminals, CCH Australia, and Pole Houses.

Interwoven Asia Pacific vice president James Murray, said Walker is an excellent fit as he has proven ability to drive product.

"We look forward to the impact that his experience will have on the business," he added.

Walker, who has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of New South Wales, will be responsible for the continued growth of business in Australasia.
