Global outsourcing provider, Stellar, has appointed Warwick Marx as CIO for the Asia Pacific region.
Marx will lead and develop Stellar's call centre and business process outsourcing technology strategies.
Marx takes the CIO helm after acting as the regional general manager for the past 18 months.
He has over 20 years experience working as a professional engineer, project and business manager.
More recently he worked as the national business manager for a New York Stock Exchange listed software company and general manager for one of Australia's 100 fastest growing companies. Marx was one of Australia's pioneers in the use of large-scale computer simulations for vehicle crashworthiness and worked on the design of the Holden Commodore and Holden Monaro.
He has also been instrumental in the establishment of a number of tech start-up companies, including an online recruitment site (which was acquired by Seek in 2000) and most recently SmartPharmTM an online learning platform for retail pharmacy. Marx has a Masters degree in engineering, MBA and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. To support Marx, Cara Lee has been appointed to the position of regional general manager of Stellar Asia Pacific.
Lee brings with her 25 years of work experience, including contact centre development, channel integration and customer relationship management in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
She has extensive retail financial services background and held general management, strategic planning and project development roles at various financial institutions both locally and internationally. Lee joined Stellar from a leading provider of retail lease and rental finance where she was head of contact centre operations and responsible for the development of strategic infrastructure.
Stellar is a global business process outsourcing provider, with over 6,000 employees across 19 contact centre sites in Australia, UK, USA, Canada and the Philippines.
