Security vendor, Trend Micro, has unveiled two new resources for its channel partners.
The Worry-Free Remote Manager console can remotely manage software from the vendor's Worry-Free line of products, including Client Server Security for SMB and Client Server Messaging Security for SMB. The vendor has also unveiled a partner support portal.
Director of SMB, Dave Patnaik, said the console was a powerful tool for resellers as it provided their customers with added confidence that their software could be looked after in a timely manner.
He claimed Trend had never offered anything like it before to its partner base.
"Remote Manager is a revolutionary product for us," Patnaik said. "It's the kind of tool that partners will be able to use to increase their profitability going forward."
The SMB Support Portal, meanwhile, would live up to its name and provide resources for partners, he said. It also featured an online forum allowing partners to communicate with their peers in other countries to leverage the technical knowledge.
"If a partner needs resources like information on a product or wants to share ideas, they can do it there," he said. "They can even ask questions to our tech support guys and that information can be shared, too."
Patnaik was confident both initiatives would prove popular.
"We involved several partners in a trial and they were very positive about them," he said.
