Two Internet executives have made a list of China's 10 richest people compiled by a U.S. magazine.
William Ding, the founder and director of Internet media company Netease.com , came in at the number three spot on a list of China's richest people compiled by Forbes magazine, with an estimated net worth of US$1.27 billion. Chen Tianqiao, the founder and chief executive officer of Shanda Interactive Entertainment, China's largest provider of online games, came in at number 10, with an estimated net worth of US$1 billion.
The annual list compiled by Forbes marked a milestone this year, with all 10 of the richest people in China having an estimated net worth of US$1 billion or more. Just three people had a net worth over that amount last year, according to the magazine.
After the top 10, the Forbes tally went on to list 30 more of China's wealthiest people. Further down the list, Robin Li, the chief executive officer (CEO) and chairman of search engine operator Baidu.com, was ranked as number 17 with an estimated net worth of US$530 million. Jack Ma, the founder, chairman and CEO of online marketplace Alibaba.com, came in at number 27 on the list with an estimated net worth of US$370 million.
