 12 September, 2005 14:28

Hyperion (Nasdaq: HYSL), the global leader in Business Performance Management software, today announced that Sebastien Marotte has been named vice president of Hyperion Asia-Pacific. Marotte brings more than 18 years of business management expertise and a strong track record of sales and customer successes to the post.

In his new role, Marotte and his team will provide the leadership and strategic direction for Hyperion’s continuing development in all Asia-Pacific markets including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, ASEAN and other emerging Asian markets.

Prior to this new appointment, Sebastian was the Hyperion Managing Director of France, Switzerland and Belgium – the largest EMEA region in license revenue. To date, the region has consistently produced strong revenue results. This significant achievement garnered Marotte the EMEA Managing Director of the Year award for three years running. Most recently, Marotte helped manage the integration of Brio’s EMEA operations following Hyperion’s acquisition of that company in 2004.

Marotte received his postgraduate degree in business and finance from ESLSCA, France, in 1987. He also holds a bachelors degree in mathematics and science.
