Racing Victoria Limited has extended its outsourcing relationship with Unisys announcing a new five-year contract.
As part of the deal Unisys will provide IT infrastructure services and CRM software across five racecourses and affiliated racing clubs.
Racing Victoria chose to expand its existing relationship with Unisys rather than get an external provider of CRM.
Racing Victoria's IT projects manager, Treena Stancliffe, said it was the next logical step as Unisys was supporting its current environment.
Stancliffe did not disclose the cost of the deal.
Unisys will tailor the already existing Epiphany CRM application, integrating applications such as event and account management into the program.
Chris Skorsis, CIO of Racing Victoria Limited, said that in the past Racing Victoria had a limited view of its customer base.
He hopes the contract with Unisys will help the company make informed decisions on future campaigns.
There will be about 50 users of the CRM system.
The project is under way and the first stage is due for completion before Spring Carnival 2007.
