Financial services giant AMP has extended its outsourcing agreement with CSC for another four years in a deal worth $200 million.
The extension makes the original contract, which started in 1993, one of the longest running IT outsourcing relationships in Australia. Under the new agreement, CSC will continue to provide desktop, network and mainframe maintenance and support, and selected mid-range services.
CSC Australia managing director and CEO Mike Shove said a continuous improvement model was developed to assist AMP in the financial marketplace.
"We've developed an enhanced services model that has a continuous improvement program to help us to deliver the results AMP needs in such a competitive industry," he said.
AMP CIO Lee Barnett said the company can adapt to change in incremental 'step changes', rather than forcing major change.
"This is better for our customers, planners and employees," Barnett said.
